Emerging Media Training Phases
Phase One
Workshops: General invitations are made to individuals in various media enterprises. For phase one, all three modules must be done, that is a business enterprise must make sure that it has sent participants for the three areas of financial management, sales & marketing, and business management.
Phase two
In-house training: From the participants and by formal contact with management, enterprises are identified that need in-house training. In-house strengthens individual training to enterprise training on site.
A needs assessment study is also carried out to find out the general country profile. The in-house training is based on one area at a time, for example, it can start with in-house training in business management, followed by financial management, then sales & marketing.
In-house training is also the first step towards a three month mentorship program. At the end of the in-house training, the business must set objectives in one of the following:
- Financial objectives
- Management Objectives
- Marketing objectives
The objectives will guide the delivery of the mentorship program.
Phase Three
Mentorship: Using the business objectives from the in-house training, an assessment is made of the business so that there can be an informed way of mentoring the implementation of the objectives. The assessment can also be used in case there was no in-house training at the enterprise.
